Promoting a culture of literacy through support of programs for children, teens and adults.  

Mission Statement

To stimulate interest in the needs, services, and facilities of the Fairfield-Suisun Community Library, to encourage suitable gifts and to engage in fundraising activities to benefit the library. 

Programs

We operate a store to sell gently-used books to raise money to supply our three local libraries with funds to support library programs.

Accomplishments

We diversified our fund-raising activities to include various donations of materials that we subsequently turned in to receive funds from organizations. We created a Dickens Victorian Evening (including costumes), with raffles, silent auctions, music, and dining. The event was so successful and fun that we have been asked to host the event again. 

Funding Goals

We plan to use funds raised from GLS for two major operational purchases:  $6,000 to create a website, and $10,000 to purchase an electronic inventory system to manage inventory for the store used to raise funds for library programs.
