Description

Founded in 2003, Operation: Care and Comfort (OCC) is an all volunteer organization which supports forward deployed military units with monthly care packages. Here at home, OCC supports troops, veterans, military, and Gold Star families through two programs- Tickets for Troops and Adopt a Military Family. Fiscally responsible, our overhead is 3% or less.

Mission Statement

Founded in 2003, Operation: Care and Comfort (OCC) is an all volunteer organization whose goal is to provide support and comfort to the military, veterans. and their families. Our unique programs allow caring Americans to donate their time, talent, and treasure to honor those serving our country, veterans and their families.

Programs

OCC is requesting funds to support one of our three programs- OCC Adopt a Military Family-our fastest growing program. Every year, thousands of military, veteran, and Gold Star families receive support from OCC.

This support includes:

  • Grocery store, fuel, and shopping gift cards for struggling military/vets
  • Backpacks and school supplies for military/vet kids
  • Care packages for hospitalized vets and those living in vet homes, transition centers, and homeless vets
  • Support of military unit family events
  • Emergency aid

Accomplishments

OCC purchased and distributed 500+ backpacks and school supplies for military and veteran's kids for the 2019 school year.

OCC supported numerous military/veteran families who were fire victims with gift cards, clothing, household goods, and more. We also supported Yountville and Redding veterans homes with supplies during the fires including flashlights and lanterns, pallets of water, and more.
