Description
A self-help organization run by and for peers. Provides a Wellness Recovery center for mental health consumers serving the underserved and non-served.
Mission Statement
To carry a message of recovery, empowerment, hope, and healing to people with lived experience with mental health issues, trauma, and/ or extreme states.
Programs
Our health and nutrition class would benefit from funding that could provide gift cards for our peers to be able to buy fresh fruits and vegetables and also learn to grow them.
Our men’s and women’s self esteem classes would be able to purchase hygiene products that our current funding can not provide. When we are able to have our basic hygiene needs met, our self esteem can improve, therefore our quality of life improves.
Accomplishments
There are three centers in Solano County and Napa County, also a 'warm line' in Dixon.
Opened the Wellness Recovery center in Fairfield in 2014, and opened a second Center in Vacaville at 185 Chandler St. in 2017.
On November 7, 2017, celebrated our 25th Anniversary.
Funding Goals
$2,500.00 for each program.
